PSTEK’s electronic UV lamp ballast is the low-frequency type and output is the AC square-wave(pulse DC) type. AC high-frequency type ballasts are limited in output cable length. And if the UV lamp pressure is high, the UV lamp is unstable and the UV lamp might be turned off due to the acoustic resonance. In addition, if a starting the DC ignition consumes one side of electrode and the lamp life decrease. In case of PSTEK’s electronic UV lamp ballast, the distance between the UV lamp and the UV ballast can be up to 100m and UV lamp life increases due to the crest factor of the UV lamp in operation is almost one.
